Landfills are made up of all kinds of trash that could have been handled or disposed of in a different way. Much of the burden placed on landfills is completely unnecessary, but most of us are often otherwise unfamiliar with their options on how to recycle everyday items. In our quest to be fully sustainable we created our ZTL scheme, which stands for 'Zero To Landfill'.

You save them, we'll recycle them.

Once used, rather than dispose them as general waste, save our brush heads. Snap them from the handle if you use our Beechwood Toothbrush, or simply remove the head if you use our Sonic Toothbrush.

The ZTL stats

Did you know that every year in the UK alone 300 MILLION plastic toothbrushes end up in a landfill?

Every year this scheme allows our customers to return to us more than 250,000 used Beechwood Toothbrush and 25,000 Sonic Toothbrush heads. All of these items are then recycled and repurposed thanks to TerraCycle.

Be patient and save a few. Why?

To minimise transportation's carbon footprint, we ask that you pack a minimum of 4 Beechwood Toothbrush heads - the equivalent of a 1 year supply. This is way postmen carry enough items to justify the impact this scheme produces.

How to ZTL?

Collect a minimum of 4 Beechwood Toothbrush heads or 1 Sonic Toothbrush handle.

Put everything into an envelope - a used one it's fine. On the front write Freepost Georganics. No address needed.

Bring the envelope to your local Post Office, or simply take in to an old-fashioned postbox.
